Spark and Tassel (Marcus We Made It)

For Marcus, graduating

Sun shining down on the fifty-yard line
Electric blue gown with the golden tassel shine

Record credits · what we were told

For Marcus, who graduates from high school this June, from his mom and his two sisters. He was captain of the robotics club and his robot, Toaster, won the regional championship even though it caught fire once in practice. He was late to first period almost every day because he stopped to help Mrs. Johnson next door with her groceries. He wants to study engineering and build robots that help people. He can't dance at all but he never stops trying. We want a confident, joyful hip-hop song for his graduation party that makes him proud of how far he has come.

La Doctora del Piso

For Lucía, graduating

Sung in Spanish

Record credits · what we were told
